Mental Martians is a semi live Drum and bass, dubstep and glitch hop collective. It was formed in January 2010 and consists of three members - Sarvesh Shrivastava, Piyush Bhatnagar and Tarang Singhal.

Tarang Singhal, the percussionist, plays various instruments like the Tabla, Djembe, Bongo, Darbuka and timbale with the music, creating a whole new groove to the rhythm that comes out of the sound systems. Whereas on the decks, Piyush and Sarvesh play a back to back Dj set, keeping it fresh by live mash ups and wicked sampling in their sets.

Their sound is a heady journey that synthesizes the Asian underground to the dubstep in the UK. They have been taking the Indian bass-scene by storm and bringing a fresh new sound of the Indian percussions along with broken beats.

The Martians, have a few original tracks in the making which will be up soon. They see themselves touring the country, spreading the music they play, breaking musical barriers and crossing all limits when it comes to experimenting with their sound. They firmly emphasize on taking the Dubstep and Drum & Bass scene in India to another dimension, by creating an indelible imprint of this form of music on people.
