Stefan Kaye is a UK emigre who arrived in Delhi a few years ago after having spent the first half of the 00's in Barcelona where he taught English, wrote music for theatre, played in a country jazz band and dubbed adult movies. Prior to that he played in a dozen or so bands in London with varying degrees of credibility and success.

Among his many achievements in India he founded the bands Emperor Minge, The Ska Vengers, The Jass B'stards and Pez Rodriguez y su Orquesta. He is a regular voice over artist and acted in Neemrana Music Foundation's 'Hair' (in which he was also music director) and several skits on 'Stiff Kittens' The Medicine Show' . He won a Jack Daniels' Rock Award in best Indian keyboard player category on three consecutive occasions and is proficient also on drums, sitar and guitar (but not vocals, he adds). After spending a bit of time in Tihar, he returned to the jail early this year to put on a benefit concert for prisoners featuring The Ska Vengers and other acts.

His company Stiff Kittens Inc manages several artists and programs events such as Ska! Ska! Ska!, Serge Gainsbourg Revue and 'The Jass Hole'.
