Shyam Rao is an Engineer/MBA who has worked several years at top financial firms in New York, Switzerland and India. He has played drums for over 28 years on stage with bands such as Grenadine and The Stormy Weather Band in NY, to Rainbow Bridge, Shakuni And the Byrds of Prey, Roxygen and others in India. The importance of music education was revealed to him at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music's workshop with Prasanna, Mike Pope, David Gilmore and Rodney Holmes. It was a transformational experience that brought Shyam and SAM together, and he soon took over as Vice-President. He currently plays with the Ed DeGenaro group.
