Shillong based Rudy Wallang has been composing, recording and gigging now for the past 32 years. He started off playing in the band Great Society before fronting the band Mojo. Today he runs a home studio and leads his band Soulmate, nurturing the much under-rated blues genre in the Indian music scene with some quality music, touring the length & breadth of the country and abroad.

As a guitar player, Rudy has been influenced by Roy Buchanan, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Steve Gaines, Albert Collins, Albert King, Freddie King, B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Frank Zappa and more. He currently endorses Greg Bennett Guitars, Fender Amplification, Xotic Pedals, USA, D’Addario Strings, AKG : Mics,In Ear Wireless Monitoring Systems, Wireless Guitar systems.
